Japan: Tokyo Disney Sea

This is the second part of our Disney adventure in Tokyo. If you missed the first one that covered Disneyland, go back and read my last post!

We got up early yet again and navigated our way a little more smoothly. This time, our whole group joined us since this park was not one we had back home in California.

We took in the scenery at first before deciding what to do. The Mediterranean Harbor is breathtaking and you don't even know what you're looking at. Everything was so foreign and mysterious to us! We were excited for our day adventure in this new park.

We ran to get fast passes for The Tower of Terror before heading back towards the Mediterranean Harbor and then to Mystery Island. Our first ride of the day was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Here is a short 30 second video detailing more of the ride that my camera could not capture. It was a fantastic ride and I wish we had more time to ride this plus other rides a few more times. Perhaps I need to venture back and just spend a week at the Disney parks!

Next up was Mermaid Lagoon which is pretty much the only reason I wanted to come to TDS! This was a dream come true for this mermaid fan.

Here is a clip for Ariel's Playground which was my favorite area! I  mean, DUH, the Prince Eric statue was in there.

Towards the exit there was the most amazing looking gift shop completely decked out with the mermaid theme. The shopped opened from the mouth of a whale and had THE coolest merch. I came back with all the things I NEEDED but probably didn't actually need. Hah!

After leaving the Mermaid Lagoon area we flew to Agrabah!

Compared to the other areas of the park I was most impressed with this land. It felt authentic, like the movie had come to life.

A few of us stopped to make friends with this camel. He was nice enough not to spit on us. Hah

After walking the entire land, we stopped for some snacks and refreshments.

I ordered the Maple Cream Balls and the Oasis Juice Blend. It was refreshing and good on the heat.
I also brought along these macaroons that I found in Family Mart that are seriously THE BEST! I didn't even want to share because they were SO good. I downed these too on our break.

Before we left Agrabah we stopped for this show. I was super unimpressed but I'm glad I got to see it anyway.

Video for the Magic Lamp Theater.

Oh I almost forgot about this Small World like ride we went on. I don't understand this story, I have never heard of it. I didn't take any pictures for some reason but I hated it anyway. Here's a video to show what it was like. Sinbad's Storybook Voyage.
It was interested to see but I would definitely skip it the next time and spend more time on the better rides.

After Agrabah it was time for our fast passes at The Tower of Terror. Also known as The Hotel Hightower. It completely varies from the story line of the rides in California and Florida. It revolves around the mysterious disappearance of the hotel owner, Harrison Hightower III. It's unique for sure but we were glad that it had the same ride concept as the ones that we were familiar with.

Before we stopped for lunch we took a cruise on the Transit Steamer Line. It was relaxing, gave our poor feet a break, and got us out of the sun.

By then we were hungry for lunch. We hiked back over to the Mediterranean Harbor and Italian food was calling our names.

After having our fill we continued on more rides. Up next was Indiana Jones! This made me so bummed out that Scott wasn't with us as this is his favorite ride and it was in another country! I tried to film and take as many pictures as I could but it was getting late by then and not the greatest lighting for pictures.

After Indiana Jones we used the last fast pass we had for probably my favorite ride in this park: Journey to the Center of the Earth on Mysterious Island.

I was not able to take pictures since it was REALLY dark out. Here is another clip you can watch though! It was THE BEST! It was dark, fast, and a little scary. I wished we could go on it over and over but it had THE longest line and it already was the end of the night. I would recommend anyone who visits to ride this, it's a must!

After that we decided to have one last meal in TDS. Vulcania Restaurant served Chinese food and it was marvelous! We all ordered the same special which consisted of Shrimp, noodles with sauce, pork, and mango pudding for dessert. It was amazing!

After the long day we had we were ready to retire for the night. We had to get up just as early the next day for our long adventure to Mt. Fuji! We said goodbye to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea and glad for all the fun we had.

Thanks for tuning in. Until next time,
